Acosta, winning investment?
Of the 22 regular riders present in MotoGP in 2026, only four are still chasing their first victory in the premier class: rookies Toprak Razgatlioglu and Diogo Moreira and the more experienced Luca Marini and Pedro Acosta. The case of the latter is particularly curious, unanimously considered one of the brightest talents on the grid, but still without a win after 55 races contested.

The KTM rider has achieved 14 podiums and as many as 8 second places, without yet experiencing the joy of the top step of the podium on Sunday – while he managed to win the Sprint in Thailand at the start of 2026.
From 2027 he will be an official Ducati rider and it is easy to predict that Acosta will not have to wait long for his first MotoGP victory.
Tardozzi, total confidence
In an interview given to the Spanish As, Davide Tardozzi of Ducati spoke enthusiastically about his future rider – on the sidelines of the Aragon race in which he gave a hard time to his future teammate Marc Marquez: “Acosta has once again shown today that we have a very promising future with him. Acosta is not a gamble, he is a certainty“.

To a specific question about his future at Ducati, Pedro Acosta was very diplomatic: “Well, I will try to get a few more podiums by the end of the year and we will see what happens when I wear the red suit”.
