Interviewed by Sky, in fact, Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola highlighted that aerodynamics is certainly one of the RS-GP’s greatest strengths: “Aerodynamics is definitely a field where we are a reference for everyone. Then, the bike is always a mix of things: the aerodynamics were developed in close contact with the chassis, the engine, the electronics. It is a flagship of Aprilia,” said Rivola.

The 2027 regulations provide for the reduction of engine displacement from 1000 to 850cc, the ban on the use of ride-height devices, and a reduction in aerodynamics, but Rivola does not believe that from this last point of view it will be necessary to start from scratch: “2027 a year zero? It’s not necessarily like that. Next year the size of the current aerodynamic regulatory package will be reduced, but everything learned today will also be useful tomorrow.”
