Marc Marquez restarts from Silverstone
The MotoGP restarts after the long summer break and does so from Silverstone, on a track considered one of the great cathedrals in motorsport history. On the legendary English circuit, Ducati fires up the engines again with the hope and ambition to resume from the form shown before the break, with a Marc Marquez clearly catching up on the home rivals Aprilia, also helped by the misfortunes of the former championship leader Marco Bezzecchi.

The Spanish rider, coming off dominance at the Sachsenring, where he ended the weekend winning both the Sprint and the long race to get within just 18 points of the championship leader Jorge Martin, has had time to work on his physical condition. A break that could therefore prove crucial for the rest of the season, considering the ground recovered by the nine-time world champion despite difficulties following surgery to fix the damaged screw in his right shoulder.
The words of the Ducati rider
“The one in Germany – explains Marc Marquez on the eve of the British GP weekend at Silverstone – was a perfect weekend, where we managed to make the most of every opportunity and collect all possible points, thus rising to third place in the championship. I took advantage of the three-week break to allow myself some relaxation, but also to recover energy and continue training. Silverstone is a long and extremely demanding track, where a lot of physical strength will be needed. Moreover, there is always the weather uncertainty which, as usual, could overturn the outcome of the race”.

However, Silverstone is not considered a “friendly” track for the 93: Marc Marquez in MotoGP has won only in 2014, in his second year in the top class. In 2025 he had instead finished on the third step of the podium behind Marco Bezzecchi and Johann Zarco, collecting a second place in the Saturday Sprint event.
