Razgatlioglu ready for Jerez: “I really like the track”

The words of the Pramac team

Yamaha hopes to turn the page in Europe after the Texas weekend was truly merciless towards the M1s. Toprak Razgatlioglu knows Jerez well, a track where in 2021 Jack Miller won his first race as an official Ducati rider in MotoGP. Below are their words and those of Yamaha Pramac team principal Gino Borsoi.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “I really like Jerez, not only because I appreciate the track and the feelings I get riding here, but also because in the last two years I became world champion on this very track, so I have fantastic memories. I can’t wait to race here again, which is usually positive for me, but obviously we have a new project with the Yamaha bike, so we need to confirm that the good feeling I have with the track can also transfer to the bike. I know the team is working hard to improve the package, so I can’t wait to give my best, as always, and I hope to get a good result.”

Jack Miller: “I can’t wait to kick off the European season. I hope that during this break the Yamaha guys in Japan have managed to find good solutions and further analyze the data from the first three races, so that we can continue the development of this new bike.”

Gino Borsoi: “Jerez is the first European race of the year and it’s a completely different circuit compared to the three we’ve raced on so far, with characteristics that could potentially better suit the new Yamaha V4 project. Obviously, over the weekend we will also have to demonstrate that we have taken the necessary steps to be competitive everywhere. The positive aspect is that, over time, we are understanding more clearly what our riders need and what the bike requires to achieve better performance. We approach Jerez with a very positive attitude and with the desire to confirm that this project is moving in the right direction.”
