The accident during a weekend of fun
Last Saturday there were moments of concern for the condition of Ralf Schumacher, who during the celebrity jet ski world championship was involved in an accident, fortunately not serious. The former German driver, now a TV commentator for Sky Deutschland, suffered a shoulder dislocation following a fall, and will undergo a surgical operation.

The event, which took place on the Duisburg regatta course, saw Schumacher reach the final in the individual tournament, but in the team competition the six-time Formula 1 GP winner raced paired with TV host Stefan Raab. The two collided with a buoy, managing to get back on the jet ski shortly after thanks also to the intervention of the rescue team.
Expected presence in Monza
However, the brother of the seven-time world champion immediately appeared in pain, explaining what happened to RTL+: “I dislocated my shoulder while trying to turn the jet ski very quickly. I hope I didn’t break anything. Thank God. A huge thanks to the team that got me out so quickly, and thanks to the doctor who put my shoulder back in place. It’s not exactly pleasant, I must admit, but at the moment I’m fine”. Following an X-ray, Schumacher then posted an update on his condition on social media, with the German having to undergo a surgical operation: “It was just a shoulder dislocation, but unfortunately a piece of bone broke off as well – he added – the operation will be quick and then I should be back in Monza. I will just have to hold the microphone with my left hand.”
