Disappointment at Grove

The offer is not enough

Williams, meanwhile, is in ninth place in the Constructors’ standings with 11 points, and the future of the Iberian driver at Grove seems seriously in doubt. Not surprisingly, according to Autosprint, the historic English team reportedly offered its driver a deal worth 30 million euros to convince him to stay for the next season, but despite the top driver salary, Sainz’s experience at Williams seems close to ending.

Possible future teams

This is particularly believed by a former Williams driver himself, with whom he achieved all six of his F1 wins in the early 2000s: Ralf Schumacher. Now a commentator for Sky Deutschland, Michael’s brother thinks that Sainz has therefore rejected the offer, suspecting that the 31-year-old Madrilenian could continue in 2027 with Red Bull or McLaren: “I am curious to know what will become of Sainz – he commented – apparently he has rejected an offer from Williams.
