Ogura, alarm for the tire drop: “Tomorrow with the Medium it can happen the same thing”

Second place for Ogura

Starting from the third grid position of the Sprint at the British Grand Prix, Ai Ogura was the protagonist of a very consistent race that brought him to second place from the very first moments.

After fending off some timid attempts by Fabio Di Giannantonio, Ogura then easily maintained the runner-up position until the checkered flag, in a sort of solo race.
The finishing order Martin-Ogura mirrors that of the riders’ world championship, with the Japanese now 17 points behind the championship leader.

Ogura’s analysis on Sky Italia

“The tire drop-off in the second part of the race? I think everyone had the same problem with the rear, it was a total surprise. We knew it would drop off but not that much, tomorrow will be a different story and we will see. I am satisfied with the first part of the race.

The race tomorrow? With the medium I think it will be more or less the same story as today, even if the tire will be different. No one knows if there will be a similar drop, but probably yes. If I think about the championship? No, today I just did my 100%. Jorge went better than me and I finished second, it was my best result and I am happy.”
