Norris speaks bluntly
During the recent Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, Lando Norris was asked for a comment on George Russell’s complaints about the driving style required by the 2026 cars. Several drivers in recent months have emphasized that these cars require a complete rethink of their approach behind the wheel.

Norris’s response was sharp: “I have had to change my driving style every single year of my life. I guess it worked for him for 20 years, not for me. My driving style worked in 2018, then that was it. Since then I have always had to change.”

A matter of (driving) style
Lando Norris then elaborated on his reasoning: “The more experience you have in F1, the more prepared you are. If you’re not ready to adapt to a different car, then you’re not at the right level. It’s our job, we’re paid millions for this. We have to drive any car they give us, good or bad, easy or difficult. You have to know how to do it”, concluded the Englishman with a rather pointed remark directed at Russell.
