Hamilton confident towards Monza
For the second time in his career, Lewis Hamilton will experience the thrill of racing at Monza as a Ferrari driver. The seven-time world champion relived this feeling during the Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% Drive to Monza event held today in Milan, in Piazza del Duomo, on the eve of the Italian Grand Prix.

On the sultry Milan afternoon, the Briton and Charles Leclerc were further warmed by the love of Ferrari fans, who came in thousands to the city center to greet their favorites. And Hamilton wanted to make them a promise: despite the difficulties experienced with the engine during 2026, Ferrari can fight for victory on Sunday.

“The affection of the fans is overwhelming, I love them. It’s the second year, it’s incredibly hot but seeing them all is wonderful“, this was the Briton’s comment.

“Monza is always exciting. It’s the fastest race of the World Championship. Last year we didn’t have a car that allowed us to fight, this year I think we do. We will give it our all“, he added. “Barcelona win? Fantastic, but I always look ahead. My goal is to do something no one has ever done: move through three teams and work with Ferrari to bring it back to the top. We’re not there yet, so we have to look forward“.
To give more substance to Hamilton’s dreams and also to those of Leclerc, Ferrari needed a few more horses to face the Temple of Speed. They will arrive thanks to the second ADUO token, announced today by team principal Frederic Vasseur, which will improve the top speed of the Cavallino power unit.
