1000 times McLaren
McLaren will celebrate this weekend in Monaco the 1000 Formula 1 Grand Prix (although some counts keep them ‘stuck’ at 999). To celebrate this milestone – it is only the second team in F1 history to reach the quadruple digits, after Ferrari – the Woking team has decided to show off a special livery on the streets of the Principality.

The MCL40 of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will parade through the streets of Monaco with a livery characterized by a metallic papaya color combined with anthracite. The entire car features references to the rich history of the Woking team, with hidden details celebrating key milestones: from the first race entered, to the wins and titles won, up to the triple crown (the only team in history to have won in Monaco, Indy 500, and 24 Hours of Le Mans) and the world record pit-stop speed set in 2023 in Qatar. Both drivers will also wear special suits, echoing the stylistic language of the car.

The commemorative livery will be present on the MCL40 for the Monaco and Spanish Grands Prix of 2026“.
