MotoGP, Marquez “hunter” also at Silverstone
Marc Marquez arrives at Silverstone with the determination to confirm his positive momentum and continue his chase for the tenth World Championship. The Spanish superstar has almost entirely recovered the huge 102-point gap that separated him from the top after the Mugello event and has returned to the paddock in the role of the hunter, with only 18 points behind Jorge Martin.

The British track, one of the most technical and fastest on the calendar, represents a significant test to assess the competitiveness level of the Spanish rider and Ducati. On paper, it is a circuit more favorable to Aprilia due to its flow, but Marquez already before the break managed to maximize the potential of the GP26 even in poor physical conditions. And, above all, he knew how to play with the rivals’ psyche in the pre-race words: Silverstone is no exception.
Marquez’s words
“In 11 races many things have happened, with another 11 even more can happen. I will try to give my 100%, as I have done so far. I feel a bit better, this is important, let’s see to work well. There will be some circuits where we will struggle, in others we can attack“, this is Marquez’s comment to Sky Sport MotoGP. “We have to try to fight for the championship with the right ambition, the right grit but also with the right calm: a championship more or less does not change my life. Almost all the others fighting for the championship could win it for the first time, only Martin has already won it. And this changes your life, surely they have to take big risks“.

“The rivals gave me a second chance. I was more than 100 points behind after Mugello, now I have to fight well, in the right way. This way I can arrive at the last races with some hope to fight for the championship“.
From the pre-race words emerge positive but also realistic feelings and expectations about the continuation of the World Championship. A battle that Marquez wants to win on the track, but he knows well that he can also properly prepare the ground in front of the media microphones.
