Ferrari, what a disappointment
Despite the power unit update thanks to the ADUO, Ferrari did not put in a great qualifying performance. The two Reds barely escaped elimination in Q2 (Leclerc ninth and Hamilton tenth) and in qualifying they did no better than fourth and fifth place.
Leclerc was ahead of Hamilton, but did not hide his frustration over a qualifying session not perfectly managed by the Ferrari pit wall.

Leclerc does not hide
“I am very disappointed, honestly“, said Leclerc bluntly to Canal+, adding: “We were not up to the mark, there were many mistakes and problems during qualifying. First with the engine, then with other things afterwards. When you get to Q3 and have to look for those last hundredths, honestly we couldn’t threaten Pierre, but we could have done better.”

Leclerc finally added: “Anyway, we can only blame ourselves and we will try to understand why we had all these problems only in qualifying, because normally we manage to anticipate this kind of problems in free practice”.
