A rediscovered Hamilton
During the Sprint and the Chinese Grand Prix, Ferrari fans witnessed a long battle between Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, with the former prevailing on Saturday finishing 2° and the latter on Sunday, reaching 3° place.
In short, from what was seen between Melbourne and Shanghai, Lewis Hamilton seems to have made a clear step forward compared to 2025, at least managing to fight with his teammate at close range.
Leclerc, kind words towards Hamilton
At the end of the Chinese Grand Prix, both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton commented on their duel with words absolutely marked by fair play and praising the beauty and cleanliness of the duel put on track.
To the microphones of Canal+, Leclerc then analyzed Hamilton’s recovery in this first part of 2026: “Lewis was very fast last year too, but they were different cars. Having both cars up there is fantastic. Especially with these new regulations, you can do something when you are in a fight with those in front. Having both me and Lewis with the possibility of constantly attacking the Mercedes is positive.”
