Last July 26, in the Padua area, a shameful theft occurred in the hallway of Jacopo Lolli’s house, where thieves had stolen his own wheelchair. From that moment, the young man launched a fundraiser to get another one, but his attempt ended very soon, this time for the better.

In fact, the family of the late Alessandro Zanardi donated to Lolli the wheelchair that belonged to the former Formula 1 and then CART driver (where he won two titles), as well as winner of four paracycling medals at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Paralympics. The family of the unforgettable Bolognese champion, beloved by sports fans and a great example of resilience, faced Lolli’s recent difficulty thanks to the ‘Mission 3’ project, aimed at bringing more and more people with disabilities closer to sport and promoting a culture of inclusion, determination, and equal opportunities.
