The Mugello weekend begins
10:57 – Pecco Bagnaia returns to the lead in 1:46.971 reclaiming the top spot ahead of Bezzecchi. First lap of the day, and first after the shoulder and foot surgery for Marc Marquez.

10:55 – Marco Bezzecchi now takes the lead in 1:47.438, with Bagnaia second by 65 thousandths. Still no laps for Quartararo, Aldeguer, and Marquez.
10:52 – Marc Marquez has not yet left the pits and in fact went to the back of the garage for a moment. Meanwhile, Pecco Bagnaia sets the best time in 1:48.142.
10:48 – Jorge Martin briefly takes the lead, but it is clear that times will improve significantly, not only because the riders will gain more confidence, but also and especially because the asphalt is drying and rubbering up more and more.

10:40 – There was a downpour this morning at Mugello and the track conditions are not perfect. However, the riders should be able to ride on dry tires, while being careful of the still clearly visible wet patches.
10:35 – Marquez is limping noticeably, which is quite normal considering he has a fractured fifth metatarsal on his right foot. The real focus, however, is especially on the shoulder, which is crucial for the rider’s feeling.

It rained this morning at Mugello and there could be more showers during the day. We will follow all the action on track together and will also provide contributions coming directly from the magnificent Tuscan undulating circuit where our correspondent Matteo Senatore is located.
Spotlight obviously on Marc Marquez, who returns to the track after the double surgery he underwent following the injury suffered during the Sprint in France at Le Mans. Alex Marquez and Johann Zarco are absent after what happened in Barcelona; in their place, we will see Michele Pirro and Cal Crutchlow in action.
