MotoGP Aragon, the Sprint standings
Marc Marquez puts everything back in place, and forcefully takes the Aragon Sprint. The MotoGP world champion only needs a good start and a decisive attack in turn 1 to beat Marco Bezzecchi, then also overtaken by his brother Alex. The rest is done by race management on a Ducati that regains its edge at MotorLand, along with the innate feeling of the Spanish superstar on this track. In the race and as a Ducati rider, Marquez is unbeaten at Aragon, and tomorrow he is the number one favorite to claim his eighth victory.

With Jorge Martin in fifth place, who absolutely does not have the pace to achieve anything better, Marquez moves to -33 from the World Championship leader, overtaking the injured Ai Ogura. The Spaniard remains four points behind Bezzecchi, author of a tidy race: considering the precarious physical conditions and a track that favors the Ducati package, this is good enough for the Romagna rider.
Good P4 for Pedro Acosta, Raul Fernandez disappoints expectations: the Trackhouse rider, starting from fourth position, finishes eighth, behind Diogo Moreira and Fermin Aldeguer (excellent performance returning to racing after injury). Also in the points is the other “former long-term injured” – Johann Zarco, protagonist of a nice duel precisely with the future VR46 rider. Another disastrous race for Francesco Bagnaia, who after the timidly encouraging signs in Qualifying finishes P11, just ahead of the slower Yamahas.
