The super weekend of the Goodwood Festival of Speed
As every year, the Duke of Richmond hosts one of the most appreciated and attended motor and motorsport parties. Also in 2026, hundreds of thousands of people flocked to the splendid 11,000-acre estate (almost 45 km2 and thus as large as a small Italian town) in the countryside of West Sussex.
Organized for the first time in 1993, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is a unique event, featuring cars and motorcycles that have made history – or will make it, since there are always brand new models present – in the automotive market and motorsport, symbolically competing on the short hill climb course at the back of the estate. The peculiarity of the event lies precisely here: not only can enthusiasts admire cars and motorcycles at rest, in the “paddock” set up in the gardens of the huge property, but also see them in action.

Goodwood: the 2026 edition program
Also this year the offering is very rich, for lovers of two and four wheels, including racing: over 600 vehicles parade on the legendary hill climb road. And if after Thursday dedicated to Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Friday saw on the main stage the meeting between Valentino Rossi and his number 1 fan, the F1 world champion Lando Norris, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July also have plenty for us enthusiasts.
On Saturday at 2 pm Italian time, Lando Norris is again on the “balcony” of the Duke of Richmond’s estate to meet the crowd, while in the afternoon it is the turn of former Ferrari and McLaren driver, Gerhard Berger, while in the fan zone there will still be Norris and the young homegrown Racing Bulls, Arvid Lindblad. Sunday instead features the 1996 F1 world champion Damon Hill as the protagonist on the mansion’s balcony, with drivers Franco Colapinto and Isack Hadjar, as well as the Williams team principal, James Vowles, on the fan zone stage.
On both days, several Formula 1 cars are engaged in the hill climb: for enthusiasts, the main appointments are those of the series “The Rivals, Epic Racing Duels” which features cars that marked some of the most exciting rivalries in racing history, while Ferrari fans will particularly appreciate the series “Forza Ferrari, Winning Formula and F1 Teams” in which some of the most iconic Ferrari single-seaters speed along the Goodwood course.
