From Suzuka to the Nordschleife: Verstappen straight on track for a private test

No rest

The current world of Formula 1 is certainly not amusing Max Verstappen, to the point that the Dutchman has not even hidden the possibility of retiring from the Circus after the eighth place obtained in the last Japanese Grand Prix. What instead makes the four-time world champion ‘crazy’ is the atmosphere in the Green Hell of the Nordschleife, where the Dutchman had competed in the 4 Hours of Nürburgring before flying to Suzuka. A race that had seen him triumph together with his teammates, only to then suffer a disqualification.

Straight back on track

Formula 1, meanwhile, has entered a long break period that will continue from this week until the first weekend of May, but immediately after the Japanese GP the Dutchman returned straight to the track for a private test session at the Nordschleife.

Not even time to recover from the long journey and Verstappen got behind the wheel of the Mercedes-AMG GT3, with a fan at the trackside filming the Red Bull driver busy in the practice session. A test that will serve the Dutchman to best prepare for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, in which he will take part in mid-May.
