Ferrari also works at night
As per regulations, each Formula 1 team has four jokers thanks to which it can break the curfew set by the FIA during race weekends.
This means that on these occasions, teams can also work at night on their cars to improve them for the rest of the weekend.
For the first time this season, Ferrari in Hungary broke the FIA curfew on the night between Friday and Saturday of the Hungarian GP to make improvements to the SF-26 related to “the management and operation of the car”.

The FIA statement: Racing Bulls is also involved
“Last night, personnel from the Scuderia Ferrari HP team, associated with the management and operation of the car, were within the confines of the circuit during the eleven and a half hour period (11.5) which began at 22:00 on July 24 (fourteen and a half hours [14.5] before the scheduled start time of Free Practice 3) and ended three (3) hours before the scheduled start time of Free Practice 3 at 09:30 on July 25.
This is the first of four (4) individual exceptions allowed for the Scuderia Ferrari HP team during the 2026 Formula One Championship season and, therefore, no action is to be taken.
