A clear and sensational victory
Raul Fernandez started the British Grand Prix more determined than ever to make up for the Sprint crash on Saturday. Starting from the second spot on the grid, the Spaniard immediately took the lead of the race, taking advantage of the difficulties at the start of both Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura.
Fernandez then imposed an unsustainable race pace for all his rivals, reaching a 4-second gap. The Trackhouse team rider showed no sign of weakness, maintaining a steady pace throughout all 20 laps at Silverstone.
With this victory, his second career win in MotoGP, he moves to -56 points from the world championship leader Jorge Martin, whom he finished ahead of under the checkered flag.
