Drivers’ and Constructors’ Standings after the Phillip Island Round 2026

The first weekend of the 2026 world championship at the Phillip Island circuit, the same one that from next year will no longer be present on the MotoGP calendar, was synonymous with Nicolò Bulega. Already the author of the best times in the Official Tests, the Aruba.it team rider left no room for his opponents from Superpole onwards, obtaining pole position and winning everything there was to win.

Successes that allowed him not only to reach 23 in Superbike (surpassing Marco Melandri’s record among Italians), but to become, obviously, the first leader of the world championship standings. For the rider from Emilia, the total points are 62, twenty more than those accumulated by another protagonist of this weekend like Axel Bassani, twice behind Bulega in the Superpole Race and in Race 2. A ranking that, in the top five positions, includes four Italians, with third place occupied by Montella and fourth by Baldassarri, both also present in the top four of Race 1. Results that highlight the superiority of Ducati, also here at 62 points in the Constructors’ standings and +20 over Bimota, in a disappointing start to the championship for BMW.
