The #49, here in the top-3 in last year’s Sprint, arrives at the 12th round of the season with determination and the desire to return to the top positions. Silverstone is a long and flowing track, which suits Di Giannantonio’s riding style. The VR46 team rider thus presents the British GP.

“I am happy to be back on track. During this summer break I had the chance to relax, recharge my batteries, but also to train, something I couldn’t do before the break because of the finger injury. I was also on track, both with the Panigale and with the minimotos, we worked a lot to arrive as ready as possible for the Silverstone appointment“, these are Di Giannantonio’s words.
“The track is very long and similar to Austin, so I like it a lot! We arrive in Great Britain with positive feelings: last year here I got the podium in the Sprint and we want to redeem ourselves after the mistake at Sachsenring, but we have a great package and we can’t wait to confirm our potential. The weather could play a key role, but we will be ready in any condition“.
Morbidelli’s words
The British GP will also be an important appointment for Franco Morbidelli, here twice on the podium in the World Championship: “Finally, we’re back in action! I’m happy to restart with a race weekend: we needed the break to put our ideas back together, rest and reset. During this break I trained a lot also on track and now we restart the second half of the season with a freer mind. We arrive at Silverstone, a track I really like and I can’t wait to race there. Last year I made a great comeback in the race fighting for the podium until the last corner. It will be important to watch the weather, but we have shown to be strong in the wet, so any condition will find us ready. I definitely feel ready to change my style on the bike to get back to the front“.
