Between the last two races of 2025 and the first two of 2026 Marco Bezzecchi gave four consecutive victories to Aprilia. A hard blow for Ducati which had not experienced such a long streak of missed victories since 2021. For the men of Gigi Dall’Igna it’s time to roll up their sleeves to recover lost ground, to refine the setup of the Desmosedici GP26 and to aim for success on Sunday already in the next stage at Austin, where Marc Marquez has always made the difference.

Dall’Igna shows Ducati the way
In his usual analysis of the last race weekend on LinkedIn, Ducati Corse general manager, Gigi Dall’Igna, commented on what happened in Goiania: “New circuits are always a source of uncertainty and for us this proved to be a grand prix below expectations, in contrast with brilliant qualifying – where we secured pole – and with the victory in Saturday’s Sprint. Nevertheless, it is mandatory for us to refine some aspects and continue to work diligently, maintaining patience and composure without letting panic take over. Our attention must be focused on finding the performances that distinguish us and the competitiveness needed to energize the entire team”.
Dall’Igna then reviewed what each Ducati rider did: “Diggia delivered an excellent performance. His form was exemplary, marking a superb start to the season for the VR46 team. Marc faced unusual difficulties, racing on the defensive while struggling with pace and a feeling of instability on the bike. Despite this he showed great determination, riding aggressively to exploit every ounce of potential. Not even the tenacity typical of a champion was enough to overcome the limits of this day. Beyond the technical issues, Bagnaia made a critical error in qualifying. On a track like this, where overtaking is notoriously difficult, recovering from a compromised grid position becomes a truly arduous task”.
