The General Manager of Ducati Corse Luigi Dall’Igna commented on the weekend in Texas as follows: “A GP that reflects the true values on the track, a not very exciting race that took place in a weekend with mixed results for us, and which will have to be interpreted with great care. Saturday started with Di Giannantonio on pole position and Pecco and Marc starting from the second row on the grid. Unfortunately, Marc’s mistake in the Sprint Race cost him a long lap penalty that prevented him from fighting for the podium in the GP. As always, he was persistent and determined, managing to climb back up to finish fifth, giving his all with the generosity and character that distinguish this champion who never holds back”.
“Di Giannantonio confirmed himself as solid as a rock – Dall’Igna added – he was once again the best Ducati rider and showed talent and maturity by putting in an excellent race after a difficult start. It is clear that we must work hard to improve and put our riders in a position to give their best, especially now that our opponents are proving to be so competitive. In Texas we struggled more than we should have: a wake-up call that must push us to return to winning”.
