Bezzecchi looks to Silverstone: positive tests at Misano and return ever closer
Marco Bezzecchi wants to definitively leave behind the negative period and finally looks with confidence to the Silverstone appointment, after the bad crash at Assen and the fracture of the left clavicle suffered at Sachsenring.

In the first two weeks of the break, Bezzecchi underwent surgery and started his rehabilitation path. The Romagna rider does not want to give up and returned to the track yesterday at Misano, where he completed four runs driving the RSV4. The test day went smoothly, as did the recovery path of #72: “I have butterflies in my stomach,” Bezzecchi commented.

In a statement, Aprilia confirmed that Bezzecchi will fly to Silverstone to undergo medical checks with the MotoGP doctors and get the OK to race: “Marco yesterday completed a session of four runs with his RSV4 on the Misano track. The recovery program is proceeding according to plan. The next appointment is at Silverstone, where he will undergo the check-up with the MotoGP medical delegation“.

The images from the day at Misano testify to the progress of the Aprilia rider, who regularly completed the planned program aboard the RSV4. The test represents a fundamental step in Bezzecchi’s recovery path ahead of his return to racing.
If Bezzecchi is declared fit to race in the British GP (weekend of August 7-9), the Romagna rider could finally taste the track again and collect those points that he has dramatically missed: in the last four GPs he has scored none and lost the championship lead.
