No ‘replay’ of what happened at Yamaha

The CEO of Aprilia Racing Massimo Rivola highlighted Martin’s phrase to emphasize how the excellent work done by the Bezzecchi-Aprilia duo is bearing fruit that is visible to everyone. Bezzecchi and Martin lead the championship separated by four points, and this weekend they race in Jerez, a track that the rider from Rimini likes very much.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Marco Bezzecchi joked about Martin’s admission of copying him and ironically quoted a ‘famous’ event that actually happened in another garage, that of Yamaha, when Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo were teammates: “Martin copies me? Then I’ll put up a wall in the garage. No, I’m kidding, of course. On one hand, it makes me happy, it means I’ve done a decent job. But since he’s also very fast, maybe I’ll be copying him too.”

Aprilia currently seems to have unseated Ducati as the reference bike: “I don’t look much at what others are doing, we have improved, that’s for sure – added Bezzecchi – due to the regulations, the bike had little margin, and the guys worked very well on that little. And I did the same, I did everything I could, both physically and technically, riding different bikes.”
