Bezzecchi fourth
In his four years as a MotoGP rider, Marco Bezzecchi has always finished far from the podium in Austin and can record two sixth places in 2023 and 2025 as his best finishing positions. Past placements are an unequivocal sign of a certainly not ideal feeling for the Rimini native with the Circuit of the Americas and therefore the fourth place obtained at the end of Practice can be welcomed as a positive result, also because on pace the Aprilia seemed to be in quite good shape.
Bezzecchi arrives at this race as the championship leader with 56 points, +11 over Jorge Martin and +14 over Pedro Acosta.

In the Austin Practice, Marco Bezzecchi finished two tenths behind leader Marc Marquez (Ducati) and in fourth place, also behind Ai Ogura (Aprilia Trackhouse) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati VR46).
To the microphones of Sky Sport, Bezzecchi explained: “It wasn’t a bad Friday. I have a good pace, even if I missed a little something with the time attack. With the Softs the bike is still too nervous and I struggle to make it turn, especially on a circuit with so many changes of direction and endless braking zones. There are also many bumps and it’s not easy to find a good balance. But I’m happy. My start to the season? I always try to be competitive, even if I’m aware that it won’t be easy to be so for the whole year. But I’ll try.”

Regarding his rivals, Bezzecchi targeted – obviously – the Ducatis, as reported by Motorsport: “Marquez is clearly super fast, apart from this morning’s crash he showed he can go very fast right away, as we all expected, so nothing incredible. But Diggia is also doing well, Pecco looks okay, Alex Marquez looks okay, so, to be honest, they all look okay.”
