Alpine, here is Somerville
Alpine will soon strengthen its technical department. The French team is indeed preparing to welcome Jason Somerville into its staff: the British engineer, leaving the FIA, will take on a prominent role in the Enstone team, as reported by the British colleagues of RacingNews365.
Somerville, whose official announcement of joining Alpine is expected in the coming days, leaves the Federation after four years as head of aerodynamics. Previously, from 2017 to 2022, he held the same position for Formula 1.

Before joining the “power corridors” of the Circus, Somerville had gained extensive experience in teams. His last presence in a team dates back to 2017, when his relationship with Williams ended: in the historic Grove team, he was head of aerodynamics for six years. Now Somerville returns to Enstone, which he had left in August 2011, after a year and eight months spent at Lotus.
