Aldeguer still in the pits
The next MotoGP weekend will conclude with the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the first after the summer break, but for Fermin Aldeguer it will not yet be time to return to the track. The Gresini team has officially announced that the Spaniard will not participate in the weekend as a purely precautionary measure after the bad crash during the Pre-Qualifying in Assen, where he suffered a fracture of the T7 vertebra.
Aldeguer has nevertheless been cleared by the doctors to resume training starting from mid-August, with his return to the track therefore expected in about a month at Aragon, the first event on the calendar after Silverstone.

The substitute
Gresini has also officially announced Aldeguer’s replacement for the British GP: after his presence in Hungary, in that case replacing Alex Marquez, the one returning to the team will once again be Iker Lecuona, recent winner of his first Superbike race precisely in Great Britain, but on the Donington track.
