Aldeguer and Acosta have always been rivals
In MotoGP there is a rivalry that has not yet fully exploded, but is ready to animate the next seasons of the premier class quite a bit. We are talking about the dualism between Pedro Acosta and Fermin Aldeguer, both from Murcia and rivals since minimoto.

In 2027 Acosta and Aldeguer will race with the same bike, the Ducati. Furthermore, the fact that the regulations will change radically will at least initially erase the differences between official riders and satellite riders, moreover Aldeguer will still be ‘factory supported’ and therefore will receive special attention since he is a protégé of the General Manager of Ducati Corse Luigi Dall’Igna.
Interviewed by the broadcaster Onda Regional de Murcia Aldeguer stated that he is not at all surprised by Ducati’s decision to complete the official rider pair with Pedro Acosta.
“I understand why they chose Pedro, they want the best riders – said Aldeguer – they already had me and Marc Marquez who knows for how many more years he will continue. I still have all the time to enter the official Ducati team. Ducati will give me an official bike, I feel their support. My goal is to enter the official Ducati team, and Pedro still has many years ahead of him.”
