Acosta to Jerez
Pedro Acosta‘s watchword is “continuity”. The Spanish rider knows well that KTM will not allow him to start on equal terms with Aprilia and Ducati, but he has already achieved two podiums in three GPs. And at Jerez de la Frontera he can do well, because the winding Andalusian circuit hides the big problem of the RC16, which is the engine.

Acosta’s words
The Shark is therefore optimistic for this weekend, in which MotoGP returns to the track after a month-long break: “KTM is normally quite fast here, we’ll see how this weekend goes and what it has in store for us. We need to stay on the path we’ve taken, trying to be in the top five and preparing for the race in the best possible way, then we’ll see what we can do on Sunday,” he commented at the press conference.
“Continuity is the aspect that satisfies me the most, because that’s what I lacked last year, especially in the first ten races,” he added. “Last year I suffered a lot, I crashed often, and I probably wasn’t building that confidence that now comes from this continuity of results. We hope to continue like this; if we manage to fight with Aprilia and Ducati this weekend, it will mean that we are doing a good job this weekend too.”

The schedule and times
MotoGP will start its engines tomorrow at 10:45 with FP1, while the Practice sessions will begin at 15. Saturday’s times are 10.10 for FP2, 10.50 for Q1, 11.15 for Q2, and 15 for the Sprint. On Sunday, the GP will start at 14.
