In the first half of 2026, Dacia confirms the solidity of its business model in a European market marked by two important dynamics. On one hand, the strong growth in electric vehicle sales and on the other, the expansion of Chinese manufacturers. In the second quarter, the Romanian company recorded 181,729 registrations, a figure almost identical to the same period last year (-0.3%). On a half-year scale, however, sales amount to 327,077 units, with a decline of 8.1% compared to the first half of 2025.

Dacia Sandero fears no rivals
In Europe, Dacia maintains a significant presence in the passenger car segment with a market share of 3.9%. Especially at the end of June, the order portfolio remains at levels equivalent to those of 2025, marking good commercial resilience in view of the second half of the year. Supporting the brand’s performance are clear operational and positioning fundamentals. Sandero confirms itself as the best-selling car in Europe across all channels, and Dacia ranks third in the private passenger car sales market.
Residual values on the rise
The business model is based on a very broad retail mix (77%), a strict net pricing strategy, and residual values 13 points higher than the market average. These are all elements that strengthen competitiveness and attractiveness over time. At the same time, the strengthening of the offer takes place without abandoning the brand’s original identity, aiming to improve the product mix by focusing on the most requested versions.

Electrification takes center stage
Electrification also continues as a strategic lever to intercept the evolution of demand. Among orders, the share of hybrid powertrains grows, amounting to 37% for Jogger, 40% for Duster, and 68% for Bigster. The “premium” component of the trim also becomes increasingly decisive, with 58% of orders concentrated in premium levels (71% for Duster and 82% for Bigster). In the second half of the year, the electrified relaunch plan materializes with Sandero Hybrid, followed by Striker and finally the launch of the new generation of Spring, produced in Europe.
