Behind Norris’s success, however, there is the bitter taste of a one-two finish that could have materialized with Oscar Piastri’s 2nd place, which faded due to the Australian driver’s retirement caused by a gearbox failure: “The car is lively, it’s still difficult to drive, but I feel very capable of driving it – Norris commented to Sky Sport F1 after the race – I think I have some great ideas on how to get speed out of this car, how to set lap times and how to make the car work.
