At the Hungaroring, Ferrari brings a new Macarena wing specifically designed for high-downforce tracks. McLaren will also debut its wing with this technical philosophy in this session, but the Woking team should limit itself to collecting data in FP1 and then mount the traditional wing in the next sessions.

In these FP1s, we will not see the World Championship leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli on track. The Italian driver will hand over the wheel of his Mercedes to Frederik Vesti as part of the sessions dedicated to young drivers. However, there will still be an Italian driver on track because Leonardo Fornaroli will be in one of the McLarens instead of Oscar Piastri.
