Jeep and Ram change: two new CEOs appointed

Stellantis today announces the appointment of two managers with proven experience in the automotive sector to lead the Ram and Jeep brands. The group thus strengthens its management structure in view of the growth plan. Matt VanDyke has been appointed new CEO of Ram, effective July 20, succeeding Tim Kuniskis. Since July 2025, the latter was responsible for the American brands, Stellantis North America’s marketing and retail strategy, while maintaining operational leadership of the Ram brand.

Change in leadership for Jeep and Ram

As for Jeep, Branden Coté has been appointed new CEO, effective August 3, succeeding Bob Broderdorf, who has led the brand since February 2025. Broderdorf will take a sick leave, and upon his return will assume a new leadership role at Stellantis. The two appointments are part of Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa’s strategy, aimed at building a team of experienced managers structured to support the Group’s growth ambition. Furthermore, both new CEOs will report directly to Tim Kuniskis, consolidating a common coordination structure.

VanDyke joins Ram bringing a significant background in the automotive sector, with specific expertise also in digital marketing. Most recently, he served as president of Shift Digital, a digital marketing company that has collaborated with some of the most recognizable automotive brands globally. Before joining Shift, he was CEO of FordDirect and held various positions at Ford, including Head of US Marketing, VP Marketing, Ford of Europe, and Head of Global Marketing, Sales and Service for Lincoln.

Experience at the service of the company

Coté, on the other hand, boasts twenty years of experience in leading retail activities, gained both at car manufacturers and within the dealership network. With AutoNation, he held the role of Brand President, leading several high-level brands. In the past, he also held leadership roles at Aston Martin Lagonda, Canoo, and Mercedes-AMG/Mercedes-Benz USA, in addition to other experiences in the distribution and automotive sectors.
