The beginning of this week marked the start of the MotoGP summer break, but well in advance an official announcement came from the LCR Honda team ahead of the British Grand Prix, scheduled for the weekend of August 7-9: despite the recovery progressing positively, Johann Zarco will not race at Silverstone.

In this way, the French rider will once again be replaced by Cal Crutchlow, who will thus compete in the race weekend in front of his home crowd. For the Brit, it will be his sixth consecutive commitment in the world championship, which started from the Italian GP at Mugello. In all these races, the three-time GP winner has never scored points, although he came close to the top 15 in Hungary and the Netherlands.

Zarco’s return, who did not undergo surgery despite a serious injury to his left knee sustained last May in Barcelona, is instead expected in September. Consequently, the Frenchman could also miss the Aragon GP (scheduled for late August) and return at Misano for the San Marino GP, but there is no official confirmation on this matter.
