Another weekend ‘in the trenches’ for the Ferrari 499P
In the Hyperpole of the 6 Hours of Brazil – the fourth round of the 2026 WEC World Championship – Cadillac secured the front row.

Ferrari placed seventh with Antonio Fuoco bringing the #50 to the fourth row, while the #51 and #83 will start mid-pack. A year ago, the Scuderia Maranello hypercars struggled particularly at Interlagos and this year the 499P seem destined to suffer as well. Below are the words of Antonio Fuoco and Antonio Giovinazzi.
Antonio Fuoco: “The feeling with the car in Qualifying was good, I am quite happy with the lap I did. Then, in Hyperpole, the sensations were a bit different and I had more difficulty finding the best lap time. In any case, with the potential available, I believe I could not have aimed for a significantly better position. Now we focus on the race: we start from the fourth row, but the race will be long and we will do our best trying to be protagonists of a 6 Hours of São Paulo free of errors and to optimize the team’s strategies.”

Antonio Giovinazzi: “I can’t be happy about missing out on the Hyperpole. Unfortunately, I made a mistake in Turn 10 and very narrowly lost the chance to get into the top ten. Tomorrow we start from a mid-pack position and we will have to face the race with maximum determination, aiming to score as many points as possible.”
