The Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix is held on the Monte Carlo street circuit in the Principality of Monaco. The first edition took place on April 14, 1929, at the initiative of Antony Noghes, founder of the ACM Automobile Club de Monaco, while the first edition valid for the World Championship was on May 21, 1950.
