Marquez, what a victory
Marc Marquez‘s performance in Balaton, considering his physical condition is still far from optimal, was a true masterpiece: the Spaniard secured pole position, victory in the Sprint, and victory in Sunday’s race.
Marc Marquez’s Hungarian GP was by no means simple, with an aggressive Pedro Acosta‘s overtake sparking a beautiful duel between the two, which saw the Ducati rider emerge victorious. Once he got rid of his future teammate, Marquez gained an advantage of up to 2″5 and crossed the finish line alone.
And it’s impossible not to look at the standings, given that – thanks to the unfortunate multiple crash at the start – Marquez is now -72 points behind leader Marco Bezzecchi.
Further satisfaction for Marquez was achieving the 100th victory of his amazing career and giving the official Ducati team its 100th success.

Marquez’s words upon arrival
“I’m super happy, after last year everything changed. But that’s how sport is, everything can change from one day to the next. I learned this lesson in 2020 and 2026. We managed to come back despite some difficulties this season. I knew I would have a chance to win, I had this feeling on Saturday after a Friday that wasn’t optimal. Thanks to the doctors and physiotherapists. The price was high, but I’m very happy to be back.”
