Monaco GP, all eyes on Leclerc
The Monaco Grand Prix hasn’t even started yet, and Charles Leclerc is already at the center of attention. The extension of the marriage between Leclerc and Ferrari has sparked the interest of the media present in the Principality and was the first topic touched upon in the press conference. The #16 spoke enthusiastically about his future in red, confirming his full attachment to the team, but he was also realistic: the promise of love must be accompanied by a car capable of winning.
Leclerc’s words
“My love for the team is great, but I also want to win, it’s important for every driver and it’s what we race for. Winning in red is a unique emotion and it’s something I’ve dedicated all my years in F1 to. We haven’t succeeded in a full season yet, but there is confidence,” commented the Monegasque. It’s difficult, for now, to believe that the title could arrive in 2026 considering Mercedes’ dominance, but Leclerc warns: “Things can always change quickly, especially in this initial phase of the regulations, it’s too early to say. There’s a lot of motivation and we’re all pushing in the factory to try and get closer to Mercedes.”

“Will I end my career here? I’m still young, I still have many years ahead of me. At the moment I believe this is the right choice for me. I love that Ferrari believes in me, which is why renewing seemed like the most right and natural thing to do. For the future, we’ll see, I don’t know what my life will be like in 6, 7 or 10 years.”
