First (and last) Mugello as an Aprilia rider for Martinator
Jorge Martin arrives at Mugello 15 points behind his teammate Marco Bezzecchi. In Barcelona, the Spanish rider seemed poised to lead the World Championship, but he suffered two crashes, the one in the GP not entirely his fault (he was hit by Raul Fernandez).

At Mugello, Martin won in Moto3 in 2018 and achieved two podiums in 2023 and 2024. In the 2024 edition, Martin realized that there would be no space for him in the official Ducati box. It was precisely that weekend that Martin signed for Aprilia, a partnership that, for now, has made more news for the outbursts of the Iberian rider who, however, is fully fighting for the world title.
The 2024 world champion will also race with the aftereffects of the crash during Monday’s tests at Montmelò: “I went to China and I wasn’t feeling great on the planes – Martin explained to Sky during a visit to the Piaggio museum – then once I returned I started to recover a bit. By now I’ve gotten used to it, being injured has become normal, ‘injured’ has become my permanent state, it’s not new.”
