A test before the GP: confirmation from the General Manager of Madring

Two races in Spain

Everything according to plan

The work, however, is proceeding regularly and smoothly, with the track and facilities set to be ready by May. Further reassurances came from the General Director of Madring, Luis Garcia Abad: “We continue to respect the scheduled times to reach all our main objectives and, day after day, there is a real buzz around Ifema Madrid, as we continue to build a world-class and long-term Formula 1 venue in Spain, at Madring,” he stated.

The test before the official start

In addition to confirming the status of the work, Abad also indicated that, upon completion, a test will be held: “The completion of the work is expected in the coming months, as scheduled – he added – at that point we will be ready to organize a test event and pass all the final checks with Formula 1 and the FIA ahead of the September race.”
