Verstappen’s response to Montoya
De Telegraaf asked Max Verstappen for a reply to Montoya’s recent remarks, which hinted that F1 might have told the Dutchman to keep quiet.
Max did not hesitate: “I don’t know what problems he has. I really don’t know what to make of a person who says so much nonsense. I don’t understand why characters like that are sometimes paid by the F1 management, since sometimes he works for them. It’s not ideal to have a person around the paddock who spouts so much nonsense, right? I think it’s the classic case of someone who has to say something different from everyone else to be relevant. I don’t care much, it’s his problem. I live my life and I don’t let this influence me.”
