Barcelona Tests, Alex Marquez starts well
In 2025 Alex Marquez was a great protagonist on the Montmeló circuit, where he took pole position and his second career victory, while only a crash in the Sprint (from the race lead, moreover) prevented him from making a hat-trick. The start of the weekend confirmed Marquez’s great competitiveness in Catalonia: fastest in FP1, second place in Practice with 18 thousandths behind Pedro Acosta and excellent indications derived from race pace, although his Ducati still needs to be sorted out.
Words from Alex Marquez
“Today I worked a lot with Sunday in mind“, this is his comment. “The temperatures were not ideal, but the feeling on this track is already good. We still have to improve, the sensations are not yet those of last year, but we are working on it and tomorrow with the track a bit warmer we can do better. We are working to be as competitive as possible“.

Words from Aldeguer
For Fermin Aldeguer a 16th time that forces him into Q1: “Today both in the morning and in the afternoon I felt good on the bike, the feeling was good. Q2 was within reach, but we were unlucky with many yellow flags. Anyway, after Le Mans I needed a Friday like this. With the new tire I finally feel good and tomorrow it will be important to focus more on race pace. There is time for the top-10 tomorrow, even if we will go through Q1“.
