The dream realized
The first laps at the wheel of a Formula 1 car are never forgotten: two weeks after Leonardo Fornaroli’s debut, who had carried out the TPC (Test Previous Cars) tests with the 2023 McLaren in Barcelona, in the last two days the same emotion was experienced by the Brazilian Rafael Camara. Member of the Ferrari Driver Academy and winner of the last Formula 3 season, the current driver of the Invicta Formula 2 team celebrated his 21st birthday in the best way, going on track for the first time at the wheel of a Formula 1 car.

The test
Together with Dino Beganovic, also a driver of the Cavallino Driver Academy, Camara completed several laps between May 13 and 14 on the Hungaroring circuit, always in a TPC test. While for the Swede it was not an absolute debut (he had participated in two official free practice sessions last year), this was instead the case for the young South American, who tackled the Hungarian track at the wheel of last year’s SF-25.

No announcement
At present, Ferrari has not yet announced when the Brazilian’s debut can be seen in the upcoming official race weekends, and which driver between Charles Leclerc or Lewis Hamilton will be replaced during FP1. According to regulations, in fact, each team must obligatorily grant its rookies at least four free practice sessions, with each official driver having to leave their car in at least two weekends.
