All set at Spa for the WEC 6 Hours
After the season opener at Imola, the WEC will be at Spa this weekend for the 6 Hours starting on Saturday, after which it will already be time to focus on the 24 Hours of Le Mans scheduled for the weekend between Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June. Below are the words of Ferrari executives and drivers ahead of the weekend on the legendary track that winds through the Ardennes forest.

Antonello Coletta: “After the first round at Imola, of which we are happy with what we showed as a team and the competitiveness of our 499P, finishing a perfect race with the 51 and characterized by only one mistake with the 50, we return to action at Spa with the goal of extracting the maximum potential from our cars. The Belgian track is a circuit where the 499P has shown it can adapt well and be fast since its competitive debut, and where we have been able to achieve important results in past seasons, in particular the victory and the qualifying triple in 2025. We arrive in Belgium therefore with the confidence to confirm our competitiveness and with the goal of executing everything perfectly as a team.”
Ferdinando Cannizzo: “We close Imola aware of our competitiveness and with the clear conviction that the podium achieved is only a starting point. Our attention is now fully focused on Spa-Francorchamps. Looking at the performances shown by our rivals at Imola, it is clear that in Belgium we will find an even tougher grid: the level of competitiveness has significantly increased, the gaps have narrowed, and our rivals have shown a solidity that allows no distractions. On such a technical and unpredictable track as the Ardennes, the challenge will therefore be twofold. It will not be enough to have a fast 499P: we must be perfect in every single call and in race management. We know that Spa represents an important test in the championship perspective and the last real proving ground before Le Mans, and for this reason the team is determined to put all the potential on track with the goal of fighting again for the top steps of the podium.”

Antonio Fuoco: “We arrive at Spa with the goal of doing our best, as usual, on a track to which our car has always adapted very well, and where last year we achieved both the victory and the pole position and, overall, showed remarkable competitiveness with our 499Ps. We know the weekend will not be easy at all, especially after seeing how at Imola, the season opener, our rivals showed progress. The weather variable could shuffle the cards and we will have to be good at doing everything well even in evolving situations.”
Antonio Giovinazzi: “It is always nice to return to Spa to race on one of the most difficult and fun tracks in the world. We face the second seasonal commitment with high morale after finishing with an excellent second place and pole position in the first round at Imola. We will have to be determined and focused to do everything perfectly, from the first lap in free practice to the last kilometer of the race, because only in this way will we have chances to try to achieve a good result on a track where, a year ago, we concluded an unforgettable weekend for Ferrari.”
