Equipped with a fabric sunroof, the Plein Sud version of the Renault 4 E-Tech Electric is now also available for orders in Italy. Innovation focuses on the onboard experience: thanks to an electric opening 92 cm long and 80 cm wide, passengers can truly travel “in the open air,” with the wind in their hair and a brighter cabin. Being a trim designed from the start, the fabric roof does not substantially alter the characteristics of the model from the Losange house, particularly the “headliner height.”

Renault 4 E-Tech in the open air
The design of the Plein Sud also stands out for its bolder look. The black fabric roof gives the car a new face. To maximize the opening surface, the roof bars disappear and the antenna is integrated into the rear window. Even dimensionally, the impact remains minimal: the headliner height is practically unchanged, going to 906 mm at the front and 813 mm at the rear compared to 886 mm and 853 mm of the version with the classic roof.

Prices of the Plein Sud version
From a technical point of view, Renault worked with partners Webasto and Haartz to offer a roof with high acoustic and airtight qualities, without affecting the weight thanks to targeted design choices. The structural elements are made of plastic material and not metal, while the fabric retracts forming three folds instead of four. This is an approach that helps reduce overall weight and improve efficiency. Acoustics are optimized both with the roof closed (through the thickness of the fabric) and with the roof open (with a deflector that limits external noise). The opening has also been maximized to ensure the best visibility for rear passengers. The roof can be activated via a button on the key or near the interior rearview mirror or via voice command with the Reno avatar. The Plein Sud version is offered in the Techno trim at 36,790 euros and in the Iconic trim at 38,970 euros.
