Stellantis closed a difficult 2025 and announced that, in the absence of reaching minimum parameters such as adjusted operating profit, transformation cost targets and market share, it will not be able to pay the production bonus to workers in Europe. News that follows the drop already recorded last year, when the bonus had fallen from over 2,000 euros in 2024 to averages of 630 euros for the first professional area, 675 for the second and 830 for the third. The company reiterated that its remuneration approach is linked to both short and long-term performance. In this context of difficult transition, the overall results did not allow for profit sharing for most employees in the world. Including at Mirafiori.

No production bonus for Stellantis workers
Conversely, the plants that will receive the bonus are located in South America, North Africa and the Middle East. The reaction of local unions is harsh: among the provincial metalworking unions and in the ranks of the Green Left Alliance, the most frequent words are “mockery” and “unjust”. Fiom-Cgil of Turin has called a strike for today at Mirafiori, reports La Stampa. The appeal is to stop four hours before the end of each shift, arguing that that bonus would have given a minimum of economic breathing room to the workers, who are already marked by the massive use of redundancy funds.

Strike at Mirafiori
Union representatives also denounce that the past choices of management contributed to the current situation. “It is not right that workers do not receive the performance bonus”, explained Uilm Turin. Some have asked for at least a one-off measure, as happened in the past in other parts of the group. Concerns about the future production of the Mirafiori site emerge strongly among delegates and local politicians. Without an industrial plan that includes investments and new productions, “the destiny is decline”, warn Fiom and other unions.
