Crucial day in Monza
Ferrari is on track in Monza for the first of two seasonal filming days allowed by the regulations. The Maranello Scuderia has decided to ‘spend’ the first 200 km available to test various innovations in view of the return to the track scheduled in Miami, Florida from May 1 to 3 after more than a month-long break.

As revealed by AutoRacer.it today, the new ‘updated’ Macarena wing will also be tested at the temple of speed to try and solve the problems related to the ‘reliability’ of this component.
According to estimates, the wing should guarantee a gain of between 8 and 10 km/h in ‘Straight line mode’, which is when drivers open both the front and rear wings in the designated areas.

In addition to the aerodynamic innovations – floor, wings and more – the Ferrari has been lightened and according to the Italian publication, the weight loss should guarantee a gain of a tenth compared to the SF-26 that took to the track in the first three GPs of the season, which concluded with as many third places (two obtained by Charles Leclerc and one by Lewis Hamilton).
