Lancia Ypsilon, the new Turbo 100 version debuts

The new Lancia Ypsilon Turbo 100 debuts in Italy, the new version of the Turin city car equipped with a 100 HP turbo gasoline engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. New Lancia Ypsilon Turbo 100

Returning to the Turbo 100 version, at the heart of the new project beats the 1,199 cm3 three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine, capable of delivering 101 HP (74 kW) at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 205 Nm already available at 1,750 rpm. Noteworthy in this regard is the presence of the variable geometry turbocharger, which optimizes response at low revs ensuring a quick and progressive pickup. Efficiency and reliability

The Turin manufacturer emphasizes the concept of efficiency. The new high-pressure direct injection system (350 bar, with an increase of 100 bar compared to the previous generation) is indeed accompanied by the introduction of a low-friction valve timing system. Completing the overview are the redesigned piston head and the high compression Miller cycle, which ensure cleaner combustion and superior performance with the same fuel consumption. Timing chain, engine block, pistons, and rings have been designed to maximize robustness and control oil consumption. The new Lancia Ypsilon Turbo 100 starts from 22,200 euros.
